Nyamvula Farm was established by the Kiti family on land in Kilifi County, Kenya, originally owned by the late Ambassador Japhet Kiti. Named in honor of his grandmother, the farm reflects a legacy rooted in community, stewardship, and the belief that opportunity should grow where people are. What began as a family vision has become a purposeful effort to invest in both land and livelihoods.
The name Nyamvula comes from the Coastal region of Kenya. It refers to a girl born during the rainy season and is derived from the Swahili word mvua, meaning rain. Culturally, it is often associated with blessings—an idea that sits at the heart of the farm’s mission.
Today, Nyamvula Farm is being built not only as a commercial producer of chilis, tomatoes, and other crops, but as a place of learning, access, and shared growth. The farm creates stable local employment while also serving as a hands-on learning environment—welcoming school visits, demonstrating modern and sustainable farming practices, and helping build practical agricultural skills within the community.
In this way, Nyamvula Farm is more than a place where food is grown—it is a place where knowledge is shared, opportunity is created, and a family’s legacy continues to take root and flourish.
